Default SVO 30# Injector Flow Results/IFR

I had my SVO 30# Injectors flowed today so I can dial in my IFR table.

The final results are attached to the thread. The flow numbers are in ML so they must be divided by 10.5 to find the Lbs/Hr rating.

Ultimately it looks like the injectors are actually rated at 43.5 PSI mine flow 31 Lbs/Hr at 43.5 PSI.

It's still a good idea to have YOUR injectors flowed so you know where to place them. But this should be a good guideline for the red top SVO 30# injector.

For those that need help with calculating the IFR - Here is how it works.

My least flowing injector runs 330ml/hr or 31.4lbs/Hr @ 43.5 PSI.

Using the injector IFR spreadsheet here (http://www.marcintology.com/tuning/injectors.xls)

    You would enter the following:

    Injector Rated Fuel Pressure: 43.5
    Your Fuel Rail Pressure: 58
    Injector Rated Flow Rate: 31.4

    And the result will be:

    4.568457
    4.596929
    4.625226
    4.653351
    4.681306
    4.709096
    4.736723
    4.764189
    4.791498
    4.818653
    4.845655
    4.872507
    4.899213
    4.925773
    4.952191
    4.978469
    5.004609

    G/Sec

These are my results, yours may vary.

did you multiply by 1.035 because of Heptane?
advertised flow rates are usually done with Heptane.

    example:
    42.29lb injector X 1.035 = 43.77lb
then factor in your fuel pressure.

Is the use of Heptane factored into the spreadsheet?

Thanks for the info Jermstyle. You should win a prize for settling the 43.5psi question.

I think the results you posted are of the injectors at 30 lb/hr instead of 31.4
this is what I came up with for your 31.4lb/hr.

    4.596929221
    4.625225967

Updated it, thanks! I had too many tune files open and grabbed the wrong one.

Why didn't you request to have them flowed at your fuel pressure? That way, you take the variables out of using a rule of thumb increase, which essentially assumes that these injectors perform linearly as pressure increases.

I did have them flowed at 58 - I just posted the 43.5 numbers...

Results? I'm curious to see what the flowbench recoreded vs. what the 43.5psi to 58psi conversion was.
