    Default TAQCable vs. running wires

Just wondering, since the Flashscan V2 has individual wire inputs on the bottom, why the TAQCables exist. I mean, they're clean, I want one, and I'll probably buy one but what are the advantages? If I plug this cable into my wideband then I can't see my gauge, correct? I have a Tech Edge wideband and there's only 2 ports that look like that cable: one for the gauge and one to flash the wideband itself.

cable is for serial input rather than an analog voltage. (ie) checksums and handshakes make it more reliable etc.
No ground offsets to mess with your afr reading etc.
Im not sure about the techedge but most widebands would have to output serial over different wires than your gauge so you can probably run both at once.

The Innovative XD-16 has a serial out so you can have your gauge and serial logging to. You would need to verify your hardware capabilities.

USB Full-Speed (12Mb/s) virtual serial port - designed for modern laptop computers without RS232 ports. 100% compatible with existing PC software.

Virtual serial port, would this work then or not? I might email the company as they're in Australia. . .isn't that where EFI Live is from? And what's RTFM? Read the fvcking manual?

    That's the metric translation.
I suggest you buy the cable if you can't make one.
Serial data directly to the V2 is superior to analog.
