    Thumbs up 2010 Camaro tuning

    Hi All,

One of our customers is lucky enough to be the owner of a new 2010 Camaro, the tune was sent to us early this week for support.
Just this morning EFILive released an update that gives tuning support for the 2010 Camaro (it uses an E38). Looking at the stock tune, the expected (not confirmed) WOT AFR's will be in the 11's and timing in the low 20's, there is going to be some room for improvement.

Already some shops are working on turbo and supercharger kits for the new Camaro, of course using EFILive's Virtual VE tables these boosted applications are catered for right now!

To get 2010 support, please click on the Camaro link on our website - http://www.efilive.com/ and follow the instructions.

    Cheers,
    Ross

P.S - No, I won't post the tune up here, I'm sure the owner would not appreciate it.

Just the V8, we aren't going to support the V6's Bosch DI ECM (which is on the way out anyway ).

    Ross,

Would you happen to also have the T43 support on the new Camaro yet? Just received my vin # today on a new red one with the L99 auto. I will send the files when I get if there is still a need and you can post them if anyone wants to look at them.

    Hi Ron,

Sorry, the customer who sent he's file has a stick car. We have not had anyone with an Auto send anything yet.
I would suspect the TCM won't be supported in the current version, the ECM got a pretty major update I expect the TCM will be the same.

    Cheers,
    Ross

Default No 2010 V6 Camero Support?

    Hello Ross,

Is that correct that EFILive is not going to support the V6. That is a very cool motor. Did you see the Article in motor trend comparing it with the new Hyundai Sport coupe? The motor has 304 Hp, overhead cams etc., and is a very cool motor to turbo just like the early tuners turbo OLdsmobile V6 or the GMPX it think it was called. A real serious motor and a very cool car. The V6 Camero PCM realy needs support. Some day I think a V6 will be look at in the same way a big block is today. Please!

    That's a bleak future.
    I can hear it now:

Default That day is here now!!!

    Hello Mr Prick,

178 Lbs? 3 weeks ago one of my sons friends bought a new 2010 black Camero. Money was no problem and he intentionally bought the V6 because it was more like his 350Z. I am always amazed at the track were these guys take real pride in getting 600 hp out of their 4 & 6 cylinders. They do not seem to be real interested in the bigger V8s. It is a mentality I do not share but they love them and the new GM V6 with the overhead cams is one of the baddest V6s in the market as compare to Ford and Dodge. He is already trying to make plans to single turbo and will have about 550 street able Hp.
And better economy than the L99. As I recall the GMPX started it all with the turbo tuner V6 in the mid to late 80s. Those smoke stock vets and they get a real big kick out of that. It is inevitable as Chevy is even down sizing their new 4 cylinder from the 2000 ccc Ecotech to a new 1300 cc and a 1600 cc (same as Hyundai) next year so there we have it the has come. I will alway want the feel and sound of the Performance rumble of a big cammed V8 Chevy. When I was young (in 1974-76) I had a 69 DZ 302 Z28 short block with 13.5 to 1 pop up pistons, 205 angle plug fueler heads and a very big roller cam and a dual quad weiand tunnel ram with the duel point ignition and also later a Magneto, fender well headers ladder bars and firestone slicks in my 1955 chevy 210 post with a straight axle and a flip front end and 457 rear. I was always teased for putting so much into that small block but I ran in the 9s. All the power was at high 8-12,000 rpms and light on torque. But I loved smoking the big block guys. I like my L92 427 (technically it is a small block) as much or more than my 302 and my Porche 914 with a mid engine 350 twin turboed chevy small block in the late 90s.
Personally I understand the small block vs Big block but not the V6 and 4 cylinder thing but! I am seriously considering building an ecotech very soon as I also have a 2006 SS cobalt 2000 cc supercharged w/ stage 2 kit, Hot rod magazine had a really cool article 2 months back on 550 street able HP out of an Ecotech so I will let you know if I agree with the younger crowd, I doubt it though. But that day is here now as I have personally seen it. Sorry Mr Prick and I bet GMPX nows all about GM turboed V6s.
