Default After the Hummer, there was this...

    http://www.armoringgroup.org/index.php

Russian made, optional machine gun mounting on the rear!
It uses the 8.1L or Duramax with an Allison, so if anyone wants one I guess chances are you will be able to tune it.

    Cheers,
    Ross

Looks nice but no where near the ballistic protection of level 6 M1151, Iraq taught us a hard lesson on homemade EFPs and the power they have for armour pnetration.
Nice to be able to tunethrough EFI Live though.

I think this thing is more for your drug dealer, money swindler type person, not war time use.

    I like it.....but Russian....hmmmm...
Can't help thinking of the Lada!

On a side note...talking about 2" thick glass.
When I was in the US in October last year I was watching a Barret Jackson auction and they had a US Presidential limo (lincoln I think) up for grabs. Got sold for USD$400K. From memory had a 8.1L Vortec truck motor in it. Windows 4" thick, body panels 1" thick steel.

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T
MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE
    DUCT TAPE.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

That is what I thought too, I don't think the US was unfortunate enough to ever have those piles of crap dumped on their shores. It might have started WWIII otherwise.
I know someone who purchased one of them and amazingly enough, I can actually talk to them these days without automatically laughing.

My best mate's girlfriend bought one brand new. Started falling apart from day one!
Every time I see one....it brings back 'memories'.

Lada Niva!!! (Just for our Stateside friends...so they don't feel left out. )

I wonder if a quart of Milk and a loaf of bread would be safe in it ?
Could you imagine a Greenie's reaction to one of those . ROFL
I think the Simpson's (longest running animated series) did a episode where they made fun of something like that .

I think the engine was based on something from the 40's, it sounded like an old school Diesel. The interior 'design' was just as ground breaking with the instruments looking more like a 1930 car. But I bet somewhere out there is a Lada forum thriving.
