    Default Shift pattern selection

One more question: is there any chance of getting the parameters that define when each shift pattern is used added? I can modify the "Normal" "Pattern A" and "Pattern B" shift patterns, but don't know when each one is used.

If it's in there and I'm missing it, feel free to tell me I'm an idiot...

Should be covered under the 'Shift Pressure' parameters section.

Perhaps someone could clear these parameters up for me.

I have three shift speed tables in my calibration (OS 24249179 CAL 24251803): Normal, Pattern A, and Pattern B.

    Normal is self explanatory.

Pattern A is set to "Normal" at D7010, which is confusing.

Pattern B is set to "Pattern 1" at D7011, which means nothing to me.

What do each of the available options in D7010-D7011 correspond to? Some are self-explanatory. The GM 6L80e overviews claim that there is a performance mode that is enabled by "aggressive driving". Is there any way to access or redefine what qualifies as aggressive driving?

    Thanks...

In the T43 calibration ... Shift Pressure folder ... parameters D7010 and D7011 are adjusted via drop down menu. Parameters D8010 through D8015 - may be set to Pressure Pattern A, B, or C.

Pressure Patterns A, B, and C are adjusted via their respective folders ... on an individual shift basis.

thank you, but what everyone wants to know is, what is normal--pattern A--- pattern B,

is normal when drive D is selected? is pattern A when sport S is selected? pattern B? for shift speeds such as D1001?? then shift pressures add pattern C

Sorry about that ... your question in post #4 was "where" are these, not how do these work.

As a disclaimer, I am the self-professed Gen III guy, and have only done a few Gen IVs thus far - so the following is my understanding, subject to correction / revision by a Forum member with more A6 experience.

D7010 & D7011 are Shift Patterns - not pressure patterns. D7010 is often set to "Normal" - used when the shifter is in the "D" position. D7011 is often set to "Performance / Sport" - used when the shifter in is the "M" or "S" position (the very last detent - below the "D" position).

D8010 through D8015 allow you to configure which Pressure Pattern (a component of shift firmness or "feel") are selected when in Normal mode (often D7010, D8010, D8011), Performance / Sport mode (often D7011, D8012 - D8014), or TAP mode (D8013 & D8014).

Hopefully this answers your actual question ...

Please try again then because Taz's explanation seems pretty clear.

ok i get shift patterns Normal, A and B, and how they go with shift pressures.

what is shift pressure pattern C and how is it selected in the car.

In the shift speed tables, Normal = selector in "D"

Then pressure pattern A and B depend on tables D8010-D8015. Pattern B will be with the selector in S or Sport, pattern A will be in D Drive.

I guess im getting confused in the shift controls for shift speeds, why do they list a normal shift speeds and also pattern A shift speeds? are they not the same thing?

    Im working on a 2009 Corvette A6
