Default Migrating from '99 to '02 tune. Need to change vin? And 2 more questions.

I read some older posts, and am confused on this matter. I read somewhere that the vin is kept in another area of the PCM, so flashing an updated OS should not need a change of vin? Is this correct?

    2) Also, if my VE table is good with the 99 tune, is it just a direct copy into the 2002 tune? (providing I also change IFR, Offset etc)?

    3) This is a muscle car application with swapped LS1 and wiring. Do I need to change anything in regards to Vats?
