    Default Need info regarding 2005 AUTO LS2 VETTE

    Can I datalog and/or BBL this car w/my dlogger and can I read the bin if its not locked? I've got a V2 FlashScan and 02 Z06. I do have one open license in the V2, but didn't want to use it unless I had to.

    Yes, you can scan/log/bbl and read the bin (which does not use any licenses).

    A license is used only if you flash.

    There is new V2 BBL software/firmware undergoing beta test... see here:

    You will need to ID the PCM as a E-40.

    It will be much more invloved to BBL than use default V2 LS2 pids and Vdash.
    IMO,

    thanks Joecar.

    Bruce, would you mind elaborating on the BBL difficulty. I had planned to simply run a log on a friend's 2005 and inspect the tuning.

    You would have to do this:
    - download and install both V7.5 and V8.1 from here: EFILive download software page;
    - then carefully read and understand the attached document;
    - if you understand the attached document, then upgrade your V2 bootblock/firmware;
    - look at this thread from post #210 onward to get an idea how to do BBL: showthread.php?t=9265

    V2 BBL is still undergoing beta test (this is a warning) so you may or may not want to wait a bit longer.

    JCar may feel differently, but you may have some issues "simply" settiing up BBL for an E40.

    Bruce is correct about E40... I was showing the process required to arrive at BBL, but in doing so I forgot that E40 pids don't show up.

    thanks, I've had BBL for some time now. I'm guessing the EFI scanning software will work even if the BBL doesn't (show PIDs)?
