Default 2000 to 2002 OS swap now flashing battery light and change oil

    Hi everyone,

I was having bad problems with KR (which I still have....) so I decided to switch over to 2002 OS. It's a 2000 Sierra with an LQ9, heads, and that's it. Stock 4l60e trans.

Basically I took a 2002 LQ4/4l80e tune from holden crazy and did a trans segment swap with a 2002 5.3 4l60e. I then swapped over manually all my trans settings. All settings on the engine side are the bone stock LQ4 stuff. It's soggy as hell, but that isn't the concern. The truck drove fine but when I start it I get a change engine oil (I'm assuming I just need to do the reset here or something on the oil life) in my message center followed by the constant flashing battery sign. I get code P1638 also. Voltage was good on the drive, around 14. Any thoughts? Thanks

***sorry guys, just found out with a quick search I need to disable P1638! Mods you can delete this post. Guess I should have searched FIRST!

With the oil life, I think you just key on and press the accelerator 3 times to clear it.

Thanks Joe! That did the trick. I'm still very new to EFI live and tuning in general so I wasn't aware of that function.

Now that I've got the swap up properly running, to the real matter at hand ....check out this log :( I've got major problems, but have no clue what's wrong

The HO2Sx1 voltages are not exact/precise indicators, but they are showing lean at WOT (voltage is dropping)... this may be allowing the knock to occur...

You will need to tune...AutoVE perhaps... have a read thru the AutoVE tutorial... you will require a wideband.

Do you have FlashScan V1 or V2...?

    I've got flashscan 1.2

Also, we noticed my B3608 was set to 60 seconds!! It wasnt going into PE.

I zero'd out B3608-3610 and will see how that does tomorrow

I do not have a Wideband but I know i need one so I can tune the VE table!

LTFT average is high, which usually will make PE rich but with 8° of KR (ouch) it is doubtful.
Ditch FUELSYS and log DYNCYLAIR_DMA and VOLTS.

    think about getting a WBO2.

log from it today with PE engaged. Still not good, so my next still will be replacing my intake manifold and TB gaskets. I could swear I hear a little whistling when getting on the highway.

The high LTFT's are an indication of a possible airleak.
