Default Possible bug, but probable noob. (v7.5 scan)

If I open a data log file with (just double clicking on it from Windows Explorer), I'm sometimes not able to see the data. When this occurs, most of the PIDs which were logged are missing from the PIDs tab. The map/dashboard tabs have those parameters accordingly crossed-out.

The files are larger than 3000 frames. It tends to be less likely to have a problem if I click the PIDs tab first after saying "no" to the do-you-want-to-replot all data dialog. This is not always the case. Another factor may be which tab is initially displayed (i.e., which tab was last selected when the program was last quit).

Happy to attach a log file, post screenshots, etc, if desired. Not a huge problem now that I can workaround it.

Please bear in mind the post count, I'm brand new to this, so I could just be doing something wrong.

Windows XP, SP3, all patches, running natively (via bootcamp) on a first-generation Macbook. No wacky add-ons, virus scanner, etc., pretty much using this OS for tuning only.

Its definitely a bug, I've been trying to track it down for some time. However, what I need is a reliable way to cause the problem to occur every time the software is run. That way I can trace what it is doing wrong , find it and fix it. If you can figure out a way to force the problem to happen every single time and post the exact sequence of events that need to be done, that would help a great deal in solving the problem.

One thing to try is to delete the registry settings for EFILive by running regedit and deleting the key (and all its sub keys):
    \\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EFILive\V7.5
Make sure no EFILive software is running when you do that.
That has the effect of resetting all of EFILive's settings to installation defaults. Just doing a re-install will not reset those settings.

    Regards
    Paul

Left is a failed start, right is a good one. Still can't isolate what conditions make it happen. Something to do with initial tab, saying no to initial "replot" dialog, or clicking PIDs tab before replotting. Happy to play around with it to try and isolate it if you have any suggestions....but again, not a big issue.

When it happens again, also include screenshots of the PIDs tab and Data tab also.

Do you have the Confirmation Dialog box unchecked?

I have found that with Confirmation Dialogs disabled
you need to replot each map/chart and the data tab to see logged data.
With Confirmation Dialogs enabled, the data tab and all maps/charts
will show data after replotting/filtering once.

IMO this is somewhat annoying, after replotting/filtering all data should be visible
regardless of Confirmation Dialogs enabled or disabled.

    Blacky,
I don't know if this may possibly give you another clue as to what is going on, or even if one problem could even be related to the other. But I am having a problem with the scan tool too. I know the more info the better, even if it's not pertinant. (Plus it will get you to look at my thread and possibly answer my question lol)
