I heard that the 98 ls1 cars do not require the use of a license and that it has an unlimited use. I have the V2 flashscan. Is this true? thanks for info

You should have a 97-98 stream license (LS1-A) installed in your Flashscan device (V1&V2).
My V2 did not have it installed from the factory so I had to contact EFILive
for the license, it cost me nothing.

Power up the V2 (OBD2 port or USB)
F4> F3> F3
LS1A should read Active.

Licenses can also be viewed with the software.
Connect the V2 to your PC and open the tune.exe or scan.exe
Help> Flashscan V2 Licensing> Stream Licenses

I have not heard of anyone else ever having the issue I did,
I'm sure it's very rare.

It says S-ACT is active and the S-LS1A there is nothing there is that because i have not conneted it 2 the car

It just needs to be powered up.
Connect the V2 to a computer that has the software installed and either press:
F4> F3> F3 to view the details on the V2 itself or
open the software:
Help> Flashscan V2 Licensing> Stream Licenses

You will need to PM Blacky with a synopsis of this and give him your Flashscan license and serial number and a screen shot like above.
He will give you what you need provided you can show him all the necessary details.
