    Default Tow/Haul and/or Performance button

    Hey guys,
    Got another question....

Workin on swapping a 2005 5.3/60E out of a Silverado into a 1995 Chevy Regular cab truck.

Goin to work out the mess of wiring this weekend. Got to wondering how i can setup a Tow/Haul button for him..

Just got to lookin at PCM pinouts and all i can come up with is that the button on the Shifter goes to the BCM and not directly to the PCM??

Check {D0409} You can wire a simple switch to activate the Tow Haul function. There would be no indicator however.

Awesome... i didnt look thru the tune hard enough...

    D0409
These options enable the various shift pattern modes within the PCM.
Note: J1 is the 'BLUE' connector on the PCM.
Switch types used must be momentary connect to ground.

'No Switch' = Performance mode via a switch is not functional.
'One Switch' = Performance mode via a switch can be activated (J1 - pin71).
'Two Switches' = Performance mode via a switch can be activated (J1 - pin71), and Manual Mode can be activated (J1 - pin31).
'C2 Data Bus' = Shift pattern modes are sent on the data bus to the PCM from another module, eg - BCM.

I was looking at how to add this to my 97 silverado, I have a 411 pcm in it now, and would love to have this mode on mine as well, any ideas?

If you are running the Express Van file, then use the same location in EFI_Live as I posted above. If not, what base tun file are you using?

Yah im using the express van tune. So im guessing that I would need to hook up a momentary switch to ground? Im looking at the tune now and I see that its
    D3601 for a performance mode, I dont see D0409?

{D0409} is right below it! It is for the Data Bus.

DUH! Very cool! So I would want to enable D3601 wouldnt I? Also just a simple momentary switch to ground will work? So its like grounding the terminal, then pulling it off the ground to set it, then again if I want to take it out of perf mode? Im guessing the 2 switches are 2 actual switches?
