    Default surging question...

    What would make the TB% go from 0 to .4?? It seems that every time it goes to .4 it leans out then goes back to 0 and goes back and forth causing it to surge at idle in p/n.

    It goes away as soon as its in gear. You can see it in the log, any suggestions?

    Last friday evening a bud and I did a few WOT logs to dial in the AF on the speed denstity tune I am running.. I planed on going to the track saturday morning. We got back in the driveway and all was good.

    I started the car up saturday morning and heard the clank clank clank noise and didnt go. I did a comression test and this was the results.

    1 = 240 2 = 210
    3 = 180 4 = 210
    5 = 185 6 = 200
    7 = 160 8 = 210 PSI

    So, I tore down the driver side since it shows to be screwed up and thats what I found. I was hoping it was a bent valve to something easy to replace but I saw that and its got to come out anyhow now. There is a vid of the sound in my other thread.

    Its time to go FI now.

    surge is from timing not right at idle, piston is timing not right at full load. What fuel are you running?
    What are your cam specs please?

    try this in your base idle spark and in gear spark...

    the only difference with yours being an auto you need to log where the zone is in the base in-gear table at idle in gear foot on the brake and make that about 25 to 30 depending on what works. Also your RAFIG and RAFPN must be correct as well.
    When you flick it back into P/N you need the timing at this point to drop say 5deg or so as the egnine has no load on it now.
    Cheers,
