Default About to start tuning, need some help

Im buying a moates ostrich so I can real time tune using RT Tuner on my Turbo Holden Commodore project.
But now what I want to know is, how does my wideband (havnt brought one yet) O2 sensor hook up to efilive?

Does the wideband wire into the laptop somehow and then EFIlive takes the data from this and the ALDL plug so I can have all my load/rpm/AFR readings together?

    That is correct.

FlashScan V2 can accept AFR via serial comm connection from the wideband (V2 supports the serial protocol of some of the common widebands), or via analog 0-5V connection.

FlashScan V1 can accept AFR via analog 0-5V connection.

I dont need to purchase a flashscan, or do I? im only working with old GM vehices, (holden commodore V6s) they had the 3800 buick motor.
Im using RT Tuner pro to reprogram the memcals via a moates ostrich.
What I want to know is how do I log all the data from the ALDL port, I know EFI Live V4 will do this for me but how do I get wideband O2 integration into this?

Do i need to buy the latest version of EFIlive?

I didn't realize you're using V4... I notified Tech Support for further guidance.

In the old days, before scan cables had 0-5V analog inputs or the latest digital serial interfaces, tuners would log wideband 0-5V using an existing sensor on the vehicle. For example, they would unhook the A/C pressure sensor and wire the WO2 5V signal into that connector. Then when logging data the A/C pressure PId would actually contain the AFR voltage.
You would need to rescale the A/C pressure PID as it is defined in EFILive V4 to correctly display it as AFR.

Warning: please check with a competent electronics engineer that the WO2 that you are using and the A/C pressure sensor (or whatever sensor you intend to substitute) are electrically compatible.

    Regards
