    Default Need definition for 16197427

    I need a def file for my truck, it is a 95 S10 with a 16197427, it is $0D. I found a link to a definition download page but it doesnt work. Hopefully one exists. I'm trying out this software because I cant get TunerPro or TTS to successfully connect, it use to but then I did a MPFI swap on my truck and ever since I have not been able to connect. It says it is successful but it is only at about 5Hz and will only receive on good packet followed by 10 or so errors then another good one, it makes the data very jumpy and unusable.

    It'd be really nice to also find a def for $31, its the same PCM but the different code is used in the HD trucks with 4L80E's, its a lot less popular so I dont expect to find that one, I had to make one for tunerpro, TTS did have it though.

    One other thing, maybe not the place to request this but I have my wideband on the Linear ERG input, if the $OD def had that I couldn't ask for more.

    The EFILive V4 documentation explains how to create/edit the vehicle definitions. Look in the section(s):

    • Reference->Vehicle Definitions
    • Reference->Modules
    • Reference->Requests
    • Reference->Requests->Attributes

    Warning, don't add any comments to the comments section when creating the definition. There is a bug in the underlying xml system (that we can't fix) that can cause your "work in progress" to be lost.
    I recommend saving the vehicle definition after adding each attribute and copy the file to a different name. The bug actually wipes the file on disk - so just saving regularly will not prevent data loss.
