Default 2 bar map sensor setup on non custom os

How do I setup a 2 bar sensor on a none custom os pcm. I tried to set the map sensor scaler to 50 but it goes lower to 7kpa at startup. 88 in the map sensor scaler is 100 or 50kpa on the 2bar. Also do I have to set the offset too.

The only reason I can't do a custom operating system is because this is on a 98 ss. My only question is can i use the scaler value 88 to be at 50kpa with the 2bar sensor and be fine. I know I have to half the ve tables and such. Plus the car idles at 34 with the 2 bar which will eqaute to 68. Normally it idles in the 50 range. Can I shift the scaler or offset so that i can theoretically be idling at 50 kpa or 25kpa logged w/2 bar sensor?

Its pretty easy I did it before the custom OS was out. Search and you'll find some threads on it. Basically you'll need to modify all the tables that use MAP. I made a trasparence for my computer screen that changed the MAP Values to reflect my 2 bar. You'll also need to reset your Baro #

The custom OS gives you an expanded VE table and a boost ref timing table.

It may take a little reading but it works slick even without the Custom OS.

    Good luck

    A 1 bar works from 0 to 5 volts so 105kpa is 5volts.

A 2 bar works the same so 205kpa is 5 volts. This means that the ecu is seing exactly half the voltage it would normally.
A value of 197 in the map scaler gives me 85kpa at key on which is atmosperic up here.

So All I need to do is to get the 2 bar sensor working right, is to get the key on 2 bar reading the same as the 1 bar at key on. So If I have 101 kpa with the 1bar at key on. I need to set the map scaler for the 2 bar to lets say 89 to get the reading of 50kpa with the stock gm map pid.
From what I gather I don't need to mess with the offset at all.

If you just plug the 2 bar in the ecu will see half the voltage it normally sees and so the car will barely run it will be so lean.

If you want to keep the 105kpa table then you must do that and richen things up plenty.
The displayed map will be half whats happening in the motor.

If you double the scaler you will get an accurate map reading but run out of values in your VE table.
