trying to reflash and i get a calibration missing help need this truck running
So did it fail on a write attempt before this message?
If so, just click ok and EFILive will continue on and attempt to reflash the ECM.

it just failed after many times we finally took off the battery cables and then it worked
any reason for this
Not really. It sounds like the ECM had got itself in a knot for some reason, hence once you disconnected the battery it reset the ECM to a normal state.

so taking off the battery cables was the right thing to do? I was getting a little nervous as it was not my truck and people tend to thing efi is black magic
The Bosch ECM is pretty safe on a write, even a full OS write. It has some nice safety nets built in. You wouldn't pull the battery cable on an LB7!
