Default update installed but no version change

I got an online update notification and did the installation but the version and build numbers have not changed in my FlashScan Scan and Tune version info under HELP -> About ... They are still 7.5.5 (Build 88).

A small box appeared after some time informing me that the installation was a success. Is anything wrong with this?

Grazia. While i have your attention, can you help me understand the version designations? There's a version 8 and 5 I believe. What are those?

All I know now is there's a V1 (which I have) and the new V2. Both hardware devices are called FlashScan. There is also something called AutoCal which I know nothing about, so can you enlighten me on what that is?

Finally, when I'm connecting to my FlashScan V1 to download BB data, I am given a drop down box with options. I used to choose Gen III LS1 99-08 PCM and that would work fine but since I was not actually connected to my car I thought it better to choose FlashScan/AutoCal Only instead - and that works perfectly too. I'm telling this in order to get any information that holds little details that will make me understand what I have here.

I'm still going through the documentation and tutorials but either I'm not picking up on these things or they are simply esoteric and I haven't gotten to that level. Thanks!

Version8 = Black Box Logging For FlashScan V2 And AutoCal
Version5 I believe is scan only for the old Autotap device.
