    Sorry to dig, but happy I found this. Wondering why AEM isnt listed in the list of WB's. Is using serial output better than analogue or is analogue fine?

    aem should really be added to the default installation, its probably the 2nd most sold wideband in the U.S. behind innovate.

    Serial is the way to go. Easy to hook it up once you know what to do. no downsides. Love my aem's, havent used an innovate. Going right now to swap it into my carbed car for dyno tuning tomorrow.

    Analog is ok if you do not get ground offset problems...

    If you have a V2 then you should be using serial comms (ground offsets become irrelevant, and is immune to ignition noise).

    The only serial port I have on the laptop is for VGA output :(

    V2 says it cannot find WBO2 using analogue yet it will display the voltage output fine

    EDIT: Ok now I have actually have a good look at the V2 :slaps face: I see that the RJ plug on top of the V2 is for the input of data. Soooo where can I get the cable that will support the RJ plug to serial so I can hook it up properly? Or could it be as simple as cutting up a phone cable?? (simple terms I know but would that work?)

    You can make your own, see post #19 above, you will need an RJ12 phone plug.

    blue wire -> V2 RJ12 pin 2
    black wire -> V2 RJ12 pin 5

    black wire
    also goes to vehicle/battery ground.
    red wire goes to switched/fused vehicle/battery power.

    Made my own today by chopping up a 6 pin phone cable. Works perfect. A little bit of a tidy up and the cable will be spot on.

    Is there a way to log 2 AFR's? I have 2 AEM gauges (one for each exhaust) or is logging data from one side only required??
