    Default 2009 CTS-V crank learn

Can EFI do a crank learn on the 09 CTS-V? I have read the pdf file and it says LS1 and LS6.

    Thank you,
    Gene

    Hi Gene,

The pdf is old (it is being updated)...

If the ECM is an E38 or E67 then I believe CASE relearn should work (I have asked Tech Support to be sure).

    Cheers
    Joe

Yes, the CASE learn works on the E38 and E67.

    Blacky,

Thanks. I must be doing something wrong. I hve tried the CASE learn and it says OK but I do not think it is working correctly. I should have to go through the all of procedures or should I just have to use the CASE button?

    Thanks,
    Gene

    1. Then engine must be up to operating temperature and running at normal idle speed (around 500-800rpm).
    2. The park brake must be applied.
    3. There must be no trouble codes set.
    4. The brake pedal must be depressed.*
    5. The hood must be closed.*
    6. Then click the CASE button - make sure no error message is displayed.
    7. Then rev the engine to around 4500-5000rpm until you hear the engine stumble due to a momentary fuel cut. The cut is only for about 1/2 second.
    8. Then let off the throttle immediately, wait for engine to return to idle, switch off ignition and wait about 30 seconds before turning ignition back on.

*Required on some models but a good idea anyway.

    Paul
