Default What time fo year to tune?

Basically, I just installed my long tube headers on my 383 equipped S-10. I have a 2002 operating system and am wondering what time of year is the best time to tune it? When i drive the truck the most or will the temperature be non-dependent on VE? Its in the mid 30s here so should i wait til next year in the 50s or more to tune this?
    Thanks

I have been told by another member that you want to do your VE mapping when IATs are high-70s, that tunes done in the winter don't run in the summer all that well. I am going to continue tuning through the winter and get the VE table down, and as the IATs warm up make adjustments in the various temperature/compensation tables.
