Default New Here! Just got a Duramax with EFI LIVE, I Have Questions

Hey all. I just got a duramax that i traded my cummins for and it has efi live..

i filled out my signature and i was wondering what i have to do to be able to put different tunes on the truck.

It runs 13's in the 1/4 i was told but i didnt get anything but the truck and the keys, nothing for the efi live and im new to the duramax's

what do i need to put different tunes on my truck?

    any help would be appreciated!

    thanks

You need EFILive V1 cable or V2 cable.......You don't have EFILive if you don't have either of these in your hands, you have a truck that was programmed with EFILive.

The V1 or V2 interface is what allows the ECM/TCM to be read, scanned, and tuned. IF you want to be able to tune yourself, I'd suggest getting a V2 since it will give you more capability than the V1.

What we are telling you is you need a V2 in order to read and load tunes for your vehicle. Find a vendor for EFI Live or if you have a friend that has the software and V2 you will have to purchase a license for your vehicle. It is specific the license to your vehicle.

I have 2 recommendations... Nick at http://duramaxtuner.com/ is great and get a dsp5 switch if you don't already.
I also recommend http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/index.php for all the reading and tips you want for all duramax trucks.
