    Default Help P0106 & P0101

After installing a cam in my Z06 i had a code P0106 !! Its "MAP/Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance Problem" I fixed it by changing MAP sensor rationality RPM high to "0" and MAP sensor rationality RPM low to "0" the code is gone but now I have p0101 code "Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Range/Performance Problem" the car start fine and after 10 seconds bad idle with a black smoke!!

    How do i fix it?

    hey
i have the same problem...p0101 and p0106...and if i let the engine idle very slow , like 600RPM i get also p1514 and a message "engine power reduced". my mods are a 218/224 cam , with double k&n filters through the hood with the MAF very close to the intake and i guess that this is also affecting ...
right know i am working on different setups and see what is doing better

hope that anyone else more experienced will help us a little

    You mean C3003, C3004...?

You should be able to construct maximum and minimum map in the scantool with the same axes as those tables (in tunetool copy-with-labels the entire table, in scantool map paste labels for each axis... see the scantool user manual pdf)... for the max table, add 15 to all cells, for the min table subtract 15 from all cells, paste these into C3003, C3004 respectively.

That should fix P0106 and probably P0101.

To fix P1514, increase the high load areas of C6101 some amount.

    joe...you are everywhere
i have already configured that map in scantool and paste it over c3003 and c3004. seems that all my reported values from the log were between the two calibrations. but for be certain i have increased c3003 with 10% and lowered la c3004 with 10%.

on the c6101 i have made also o map in scantool for it and pasted the value over in tune tool. here were a lot of them outside the predicted values. so from those points that i have taken from scan tool i have altered the c6101 and with some increasing in % in different areas and some smoothing i was able to make a nice looking graphic. every value from scantool is under the values in c6101 and above that i was increasing 10% more just to be certain. also in c6102 which is only with one column i have taken the values from c6101 last row (TPS 100%) and manually "paste" them on c6102 plus a 10% more.

i will flash this setup and will let you know how it is working
