    Ok, so it is the 99 that has this issue.

    I'd really want to see this PCM flashed out of the vehicle on a bench harness. Any chance of that happening (do you know anyone with a harness)?

    Or perhaps send the PCM to Ira at Fish Tuning so he can test on the bench.

    pcm was able to flash before motor swap
    1998 Camaro Z28, forged ls2 sts turbo GtsT76, fmic
    1999 Firebird, forged ls1 procharger p1sc ls9 cam fmic

    With the scantool do you see any DTC's from any of the modules on the bus (PCM, EBCM/ABS, SIR, IPC)...?

    Can you test your V2 on another vehicle (F-car if possible), try to read it's PCM.

    How "charged" is the battery in the 1999 Firebird...?

    yes, i can read the pcm, battery is charged(optima red top)

    So the PCM of the 1999 PCM can be read with FlashScan successfully? Can you please read the 1999 PCM now and email the .tun file to support@efilive.com? Please also advise how long it takes to perform the PCM read.

    Really scratching head that you can read but not flash .
