    Default RTACs

    lol. i just realized i have rtacs on my rr. I always just put it in emulation and mad changes manually to the tune why the car is running lol. i looked over at the sticky up top but i dont know how to configurate oter pids int eh cal link to work with rtac. like desired idle airflow. i know rafig and rafpn. but if i follow the instructions in the stickky that should work right?


    how mnay other parameters can i use rtacs with?

    what should i set the RR filter to, the one in the rr control panel?

    sorry for all the noob questions.

    Filter combinations are almost endless, it depends on the end result you want.
    My standard exclusions are TPS% varies by 5% and RPM less than 400
    I add others depending on what I'm doing.

    Just paste the RAFIG lines from the sticky to your cal_link.txt
    RAFIG takes time to learn and can update the desired airflow table
    a little too quickly and stall the engine so be careful.
    You can set the update frequency somewhat high for RAFIG w/RTACS
    but keep that in mind if you are relying on WBO2 for MAF/VE.

    Any table and PID can be added to the cal_link.txt that is not already there.

    I have the RoadRunner (RR) also..takes some focus and a little skill to update in real-time.

    I once had a few cells go 'wild' when doing an "AutoVE"..as Mr. Prick said, be careful on your update frequency.

    90% of the time, I do tuning changes manually vs real-time. Just personal preference. The RR is a great convenience. However, it is analogous to flying with just the 'Auto-Pilot' engaged. Easy to make a mistake..if you don't watch what you are doing.

    so what would be the best rtacs settings in the properties

    fine control is set at 10

    course is set at 50

    update is set at 10

    what exactly do all these mean?

    also on the rtacs tab on the right where the tables are.

    what and how do i control the accuracy to. right now default is set at 1%, if i set it at 10. 10 will be more accurate then 1? little confused on that part

    Usually if I want to pull something into line quickly...I'll set coarse control to 300 or so. This will make BIG corrections to get closer to the desired point quicker. Then I'll drop it back to 100..then 50...then 10.
    Finally...I'll set 'fine' to 5..then 1 to try and get corrections as close as possible.
    I set accuracy to '0' which means it'll keep correcting..non stop.
    Once I get it close...I'l set accuracy to 1 or I'll just exclude those cells from being corrected.
    Filters also...I'll start wit them fairly loose and tighten them up as I get closer to 'perfect'.

    Correct.

    But..you can only use one or the other (coarse/fine).
    To select coarse...click on the 'heavy' red circular arrow in the RR tool bar.
    For fine...click on the smaller red circular arrows.

    Check the list of PID's for RTACS parameters.
    You also need to update the Cal.link file. I'll post mine up when I get home in a few hours.

    RTAC parameters? where is this?

    the posted corrections up top in the previous post are from the cal link

    Your high & low octane tables should not have the RRR like you put there. Remove them. Having your spark multiplied by g/cyl will kill your engine in seconds.
    As for the rafig RRR pids you need to add the operator + or it will multiply by default.

    No.
    The RRR line needs to be the PID that you want to use on the table not to track.
    Whatever is in the RRR line will be used to change the table.

    If you want to log all the PIDs in the line but only want to use one specifically to track then move it to the front of the line.

    The operator and the comma need to be there as well
    otherwise the values in the table will be multiplied by default

    The update frequency defines how many cell counts are needed until updating takes place.
    The fine/course control is the strength of the updating PID 50% or 100% ect.

    Just copy and paste the sections from the sticky they are proven.
