I have a 4x4 04.5 silverado that I have changed the transfercase in to a non GM one. Is it possible to change the programming to a 4x2 so I don't have the service 4x4 on the dash?

Probably need to have a Tech II reflash your BCM, I dont see anything related to 4WD in the LLY ECM or TCM files I have. But then again Ive only played with 1 LLY so Ill let one of the Duramax tuners chime in here.

2013 Sonic RS Manual - 1.4L I4T E78, tuned, turbo mods, etc.
2008 TrailBlazer SS 3SS AWD Summit White - LS2 E67/T42, bolt ons, suspension, etc.
2002 Chevy TrailBlazer LT 4X4 Summit White - 4.2L I6 P10, lifted, wheels, etc.
I would guess its in the BCM. The 4x4 and 4x2 have the same enigine tune in them.
