Have you been into Device Manager and located the drivers for the FlashScan V1? The drivers reside in your 'C:\Program Files\EFILive\Drivers\EFILive\Win-2K-XP-Vista' folder.

disabled uac - no worky still. Its not a problem with it recognizing the cable - it says there is an issue. And as for drivers because it wont recognize it the cable doesnt show up in device manager

I dont mean to be rude by asking this and I feel more so stupid for asking - has this all been tested on 64 bit W7?

Load the driver from the 'C:\Program Files\EFILive\Drivers\EFILive\Win-2K-XP-Vista' folder and NOT 'C:\Program Files\EFILive\Drivers\EFILive\Win-2K-XP-Vista\i386'. Subtle I know but if you are running a 64bit platform the i386 folder is not your friend

I've been running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit edition since the RC stage without any issues at all. Many customers were also 'early adopters' of Windows 7.
