We should probably look at increasing those actually. For one the operating system alone these days requires more CPU just to operate, let alone run applications.

Second the newer ECM controllers output up to 40 frames per second. Those specs were inline with the LS1 style (and similar) controllers that output 10 frames per second.

One of those netbooks we've been talking about in email would be fine.

Any computer or netbook on the market today will run EFILive. Heck I ran it on a Celeron 366mhz, 128mb ram, 6gb hd with built in video and win xp. Ran it like a champ, didnt do much logging as the PC was sitting in the garage but it flashed tunes just fine. Id build the tunes on my real desktop and flash them using the garage PC (before I got a laptop).

But the netbooks are just fine, I was thinking about getting one last year but decided Id hold off and just use the BlackBox functions of the V2. Got BBL and BBR right now, waiting for BBF coming soon!

Speaking of netbooks, have you seen the Acer Timeline 1810 (models 8638, 8488, 8459, 8750)...?

It's a laptop packaged into 11" netbook form, it has the 1.3GHz duo-core Celeron (SU7300), 4GB DRAM, 320GB HDD, wifi.

Nice, too bad I despise Celerons. Much better off getting an Atom, might be a tad slower as its designed for netbooks/integrated devices but it is much lighter on the battery.

My friend has an Atom 280 (I think, its the faster one from last year) in his Asus eePC and with Win XP is moves pretty well. I just cant stand the tiny screen!

The SU7300 based Acer is reported to get 6-8 hours on a battery charge.
