    Default C0238 issues

    hey guys, I was doin some tuning on a guys big Z71. He has 4.56 gears and 37" tires..
    after we got thru messing with it I kept getting C0238 and I have no way of fixing it..
    I can't remember exactly the discription.

    anybody know what's up with that?

    i cleared the codes a couple times and they kept coming back..

    i cant disable the code with efi live being that its in the EBCM?


    Wonder if i can do a recalibration with a Tech II?

    wonder if i take the sensors out of the hubs and clean them?

    Unfortunately no, EFILive can't program the EBCM.

    ALLDATA says:

    CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC

    • Any wheel speed differing from the vehicle speed by greater than 10%.
    • The vehicle speed is greater than 40 km/h (25 mph)
    • No unexpected wheel acceleration: anything that generates consistent differences between the wheel speed signals.

    So, I'm not sure if the EBCM is comparing left and right front wheel speeds or if it is comparing each wheel speed to vehicle speed... that description given by ALLDATA is a little vague... let me see if I can find a better one.

    I can't find a better description... his Z71 has same tires on both sides...?

    as far as i know it does.. ill double check.

    it didnt start throwing the code till i tuned it.

    i just started receiving this code recently which mentions "traction control system (TCS) throttle position sensor comparison" and trans slippage P1870 in which i just upgraded my trans. is there anyway to turn the C0238?
