Default Old issue fixed, new one now.

Ok, got it all figured out. So I loaded up my DSP5 tunes to my truck, did everything on the V2, now when I go to switchable tunes, the V2 freezes up and won't do anything until I unplug it and plug it back in. It will do everything aside from switch tunes, and that's all I really want it to do.

What firmware version are you running in FlashScan?

.26 I got all the soft/firmware figured out in my other thread. Everything is right from what I have been told. It just freezes, I thought maybe it was a slow process, but even letting it sit for five minutes didn't yield anything.

And must I say, you guys are great, I am also a SCT tuner for the Furd Turd Diesels, and they are horrable over there, wether it be customer or even dealer service.

I can reproduce that same hanging here, must be a fault in the firmware. I'll make sure it is fixed for the next release candidate (RC5) which should be available later this week here: http://forum.efilive.com/forumdisplay.php?f=71

    Thank you!

Again, sooooo much better than SCT, it's been a month and a half with an issue and they can't figure it out! Will EFI run on the newest Furds? I think there gonna be getting Bosch.

    For your info...

It was an embarrassing mistake, I'd cut/pasted some code and accidentally left an extra bit of text in the pasted data, caused a memory fault with misaligned WORD data.

Whenever FlashScan gets a memory fault the firmware can no longer be confident of the integrity of the hardware so it enters into an infinite loop of doing nothing about 10 million times per second. It takes a power cycle to exit from the infinite loop. After the power cycle the hardware runs a bunch of diagnostics to make sure the hardware is OK.

Oh, haha. At least you got it figured out. So later this week I will be able to get an update and it'll be all better?

Oh no, it will probably be the EDC17 then, I can hear the FORD tuners all fall to the floor.

    Cheers,
