    Default E38 scaning with scan tool

    guys sorry not on here much with work and a mod. on pt.net just dont browse alot.I am trying to find out why my scan tool is not working the dash pops up and i can get it to connect but when i go to record it blinks and shows nothing gauges don't do nothing.i have it set on E38 ecm Imperial.pid's.

    can anyone please tell me what i am doing wrong just for a little more info i am tunning an 2001 truck,2005 tahoe,2007 vortex max,2009 4x4 6.2 i am haveing the problems with the 2 newer trucks

    Hi LD,

    Can you post some screenshots...?

    [go CTRL-PrtScrn and paste/save into Paint or IrfanView, then when replying click Go Advanced and Manage Attachments. ]

    Did you press the connect button to connect to vehicle...?
    Did you select pids...?

    i have selected E38 ecm Imperial.pid's.

    i press the gren botton on top left corner then the red botton for recorder when i hit the red botton it does nothing.i was in the pass able to log and everything wrok good when i started to tune on my 01 from then on it has not worked.

    The E38 PIDs will likely not be supported on your 2001 vehicle and may simply be the problem. Perhaps try selecting Default Imperial PID list and try that as a comparison.
