Starting on my first diesel tune this weekend. the truck is my buddy's 04. doing a little reading but i'm very confused on the setup of the ecm's i kinda know the basic stuff to do but i don't know how to incorporate them in to the actual tune. looking to turn off the egr, add fuel and injector pulse with a bit with higher fuel rail pressure, and tweak the timing slightly? i know you can change the way the tranny locks for a better bite at part throttles, but that right now is way above the learning curve unless its the same concept as a gasser.
Any hints or maybe even certain posts to read up on would be greatly appreciated.
