    hello all! does the allison 1000 5 speed tranny have torque management? i've made some upgrades and it seems like the tranny is restricting them....
    No replacement for dispacement!!

    Sorry I have a Diablosport tuner right now...seems like it helps with fuel economy and throttle response,but no TCM support! Would have got efilive if I'd known about it first!

    the main cause for defueling (torque management) is in the ECM tune. there are tq tables in the TCM but the ECM is where 99% of the defueling originates.
    '07 TBSS, LS2, T42, 3SS, Black on Black on Black, Pretty much stock at the moment. EFILive will fix that

    Ok,so if I made improvements(intake exhaust etc.) the transmission will NOT reduce power,however the pcm is canned to remove fuel as a Torque Manager. Thanks!

    your post doesn't make much sense at all. do you even have EFI Live?

    No, he has a Diablosport handheld.

    If I were you Id sell it, but thats me being picky. Not a huge fan of any generic precanned tunes.

    Geez I said i was noob! My original question was: Does the allison transmission restrict engine output over stock? Yes? No?
    No replacement for dispacement!!
