Yes, but why? The 6006 02 is about as good as it gets and has pretty much the same detail in all the data fields as the 044 03-04 OS.

i see i just compared files and no egr and rev limiter in the 01 file. otherwise their the same.
01 has a rev limiter in it as well, but is worked into different tables from the factory. Anything an 01 can do, an 02+ can do plus more. I switched back to an 01 in my BURB simply because I wanted the 850 fast idle, but the driveability of the 01 is nowhere near as nice as the 02 was.

is the 02 7100 OS better than the 6006 OS?no egr in the 7100.
It is an early 02 OS that some have said even made it into 01's as well. It is pretty crude by design and has all the same basic detail as an 01. Even though they have a spot in the OS for an EGR, it doesn't meen that it is used or even activated. MOST LB7's don't have an EGR valve on them, so it isn't activated in it. I'm getting ready to go back to a 6006 OS as the 01 OS has a funky feel to the pedal off idle.Originally Posted by SGFastMax

i know exactly what you mean, i did some tuning on an 01 rescently and noticed the weird feel in the throttle. also the 01 had rough shifts when it was stock before i touched it and i noticed in table b0741 in the 7100 os isnt defueling like the tables in the newer os's are.
I have an 01 with the 3376 OS, should I update it? What would I gain?

The main improvements will be driveability, more detailed tuning tables, some added tables, and less wierd unexplaineable quirks. I went back to the 01 8873 for about 2 weeks before I got tired of random plumes of black smoke when moderately accelerating, and just all around poor driveability before I went back to the 6006 02 OS. The difference is night and day between the 2 for driveability. The only real drawback is you will lose the 850 fast idle option that only the 01 OS has in it. The 02+ will have a 680 idle VS the 600 of the 01, but I can send you the script to bring the idle back down to 600 like the 01's have.

I know what you mean about off idle and smoke plumes now and then and i also get a loppy idle off throttle now and then but it clears up in about 5 seconds.
