    Default Finding MBT without RR

Just curious about the methods being used for doing this on a load bearing dyno. I know that you can change the ignition timing in the BIDI controls but how do you know where you are in the table? Is it true that you can't log data while using the BIDI controls?

    Thanks,
    Brad

    Brad,

You can log while doing bidir/dvt... just start the log first and then go into the DVT/bidir controls.

Wouldn't MBT show itself as best peak torque at a specific AFR...?

Watch closely and beware of knock.

That's good news. Knock shouldn't be a concern as I won't go past peak torque. Though I do monitor knock anyway.

    Thanks for the reply Joecar
