    Default What is the best way to tune WOT after changing injectors

    Recently i changed the injectors and i just finished tuning the VE and now i want to start tuning the WOT
    what is the safest way to tune the WOT i don't want to be too much lean or too much rich
    I'm afraid of knock at high rpm 6000+
    i think of the following :
    1- smoothing the VE table columns 95-105
    2- keep the spark the same as its from last tune it was 28
    3- decrease the pe to 0.85
    4- make a logged run
    any help will be appreciated

    First, recalculate the IFR table B4001 (using measured rail pressure): showthread.php?4821-Calculating-Injector-Flow-rate

    Edit: then I was going to say: try to get data for the other injector tables, if at all possible; I see you have gotten some (post #3).

    Then:
    - make sure your wideband is calibrated (heater cal, free air cal) and sanity checked;
    - bump up VE table columns 95-105 kPa by some amount (a little, don't over do it);
    - if you didn't see knock around 4000-5000 rpm then keep the same timing;
    - PE at 0.85 Lambda is good (be sure it is Lambda and not EQR);
    - when you run/log if you detect knock, then immediately back off;
    - be sure use the throttle progressively to try to get as much good data as possible, and be sure to apply the transient filter;
    - if your BEN correction is more than 4-5% in either direction, then rebump the VE table by the appropriate amount and start again.

    Make sure that PE enables and with no delay.

    if your VE/MAF was right on before changing injectors, your WOT fueling should've stayed right on. If it has changed, that means something about your injector calibration is off.

    Does that mean you did the WOT columns of the VE table...? I assumed not.

    So then you are trying to dial in PE for best torque and power (dyno)...? Or best elapsed time and trap speed (strip)...?

    Exactly what RHS/Marcin said, if your VE table was already corrected then the only thing you need to touch is the injector tables.
