    Default A little frustrated...Bootloader Rejected?!

My PCM wont flash. It connects fine, I can scan, log, read stock file etc.. yet I go to reflash it and the error "Bootloader Rejected" reason no reply or PCM not detected.

OK so I do a search....

    Removed the radio fuse...same thing

Removed aftermarket parsts (just radar detector)... same thing

Now I will go check and see if I have the latest software...

    ugh

Whats goin on? My PCM is NOT locked.

This happens on your 2004 Corvette Z06...?

    I notified Tech Support.

Check the V2 firmware version and the V7.5 build version.

If you send me the appropriate *.blx file I can take a look at what is going wrong...

Thanks Paul, I sent you the two last failures. First is the high speed second is the normal speed.

I tried removing the radio fuse. Only aftermarket accessory is my radar detector, made sure it was off an unplugged. Turned off cell phone and WI FI on the laptop. Tried high speed and normal speed. Tried Alt keys. Did a security check on the PCM and it is unlocked. I checked to make sure I was using the correct PCM type 99+. Car is a 2004 Z06. I downloaded (just to make sure) I had the latest EFI software. Next I will check the firmware on the V2.

The firmware in your V2 is 2.06.12, I recommend upgrading to the latest available V2.06.35

Also change the FlashScan cable type settings as follows:
Run the Scan Tool by itself (i.e. without the Tune Tool running)
    Select Edit->Properties
Change the Preferred interface cable type to EFILive FlashScan V2.5 (HAPI)
Uncheck "Scan all cable types." (if it is checked)
That won't fix this particular issue, it will just makes things run a little more efficiently.

P.S. Has the PCM been tuned by another tuner? The responses (or lack of them) I see in the blx file look suspiciously like what some tuners have been known to do. They "break" the read/flash options in the PCM making the PCM unresponsive when any attempt to read or flash it are made. If that has been done then the PCM can never be read or flashed again.

Are you able to read the PCM? If so, then the PCM has not been permanently locked in that manner. If it fails o the read as well, please send me that blx file a well.

    Regards
    Paul

I've been looking to find where I can update the firmware, and cant seem to find it.

I will change the cable like you say.

The PCM is completely readable and I have performed logs and retrieved the stock tune.

I will keep you posted, thanks for the fast replies!

You need to download and install EFILive V8 (both V7.5 and V8 can and should coexist on the same PC).
Then run the EFILive_Explorer program, a little FlashScan icon will appear in the Windows Task bar system tray.
If it does not automatically tell you to update the firmware, click on it and go to the F6: Firmware option. Click [Refresh], then [Update Firmware].

If you can't do it that way, use EFILive_Explorer's [Firmware] tab page to manually select the firmware file FSProgV2_06_35.efw from
    C:\Program Files\EFILive\V8\Firmware

That is good, that means there is nothing wrong with the PCM. A FlashScan firmware update should help.
