I have a new question. When tuning WOT A4 shift points, is there a way to set it up to shift by engine RPM only? Can I set D0910, D0915, and D0920 to unreasonable values and force the PCM to use only D0940,D0945, and D0950? Also for manual hold, I assume I can set D0913 and related so that in manual 1 and 2 the PCM will never command an upshift.
To trigger a WOT upshift, both the WOT MPH and WOT RPM have to be met...
if you set the WOT MPH to a lower value, then the WOT upshift will trigger on the WOT RPM...
e.g. if D0940 is 6000 rpm and this equals 40 mph, then set D0910 to say 30 mph.
To always hold manual 1st, set:
- D0913 to max,
- D0918 to max.
To always hold manual 2nd, set:
- D0914 to zero,
- D0919 to max.
Thanks, makes perfect sense. My truck did not get tuned Saturday. Hauled it out there got everything set up and strapped down, then the Dyno jet computer would not power up. I left it there, maybe get tuned thurs.
