    Can I change my fans start and of in scan only
    I found this Scan Tool
    User Manual
    Version 7.5

    Miscellaneous calibration information
    Displays miscellaneous calibration information, for LS1/LS6 only such as:
    • Engine size
    • Transmission type
    • Differential ratio
    • 4WD status
    • Speed limiter
    • OBD II compliance
    • Location of O2 sensors
    • MAF/ESC component test results
    • Fan type
    • Fan on/off temperature[
    • PCM memory test results

    To make any permanent change to your vehicle calibration requires the Scan and Tune products. Scan Only products cannot flash an ECM controller and therefore cannot make permanent changes. In the Scan Tool the fan on/off can likely be commanded by using the DVT (bi-directional) controls.

    Which vehicle/year/model do you have...?

    As Tordne said:
    - you need the tunetool and the hardware/cable to edit the fan settings.
    - the scantool lets you exercise the fans, but not change their settings.
