Default No purge can in open loop?

I'm rifling through a COS5 file I found to try to gain some familiarity with it before I swap in my 411. I came across B0505 which, in the case of the file I'm looking at, has the purge can disabled in open loop. Since this is not unlocked in my black box should I assume it's also the case? My truck absolutely reeks of gasoline fumes. No fluid leak, but vapors abound. I'm not getting a purge can code and now I'm starting to think it's because I run OLSD so it will never try to purge the can. Could this be the case? I assumed I broke something when I laid frame through a mud hole since shortly thereafter I started to smell the vapors, but the can is under the hood and thus never got touched by the mud.

On the Vortec PCM, sorry but I don't know if that same parameter exists. Certainly sounds like the classic case of the purge canister never functioning, hence the parameter in the LS1 PCM to make it work in open loop.
Should be inspiration to get your 411 PCM swap done ASAP
