    Default changing timing

First off, I'm a newbie so sorry for the dumb question. I want to bump up my timing but not sure which table to pull up to do it in. Also what would be cosidered too much timing?

The LS systems have high and low octane timing tables. Actual timing is dependent on a sliding scale that determines the weight given to the values in each table. (There are other tables that affect timing, but these are the primary ones.) Read through some of the stickies and tutorials for more detailed information. If you're going to experiment with different timing values, I'd make changes to the high octane table, then copy and paste it into the low octane table. Then, the values you enter will be what's actually commanded (or very close). Once you get the timing map where you want it, you can take the low octane table and multiply it by a value less than 100% to provide a functional low octane table. Just be careful when modifying spark settings. LS engines don't like a lot of spark advance as compared to traditional small blocks.
