I am having problems on a car with LT headers setting front O2 codes for insufficient switching. Has anyone else had problems playing with the swithcing voltages to compensate for the extra distance on the LT headers?

Over on LS1Tech, people have been installing Corvette rear O2 sensors in the front O2 sensor locations to eliminate throwing O2S insufficeint switching DTC's.
I replaced my front O2's with the Bosch 13111 (vett rears) and no more codes after a year. It worked for me but I have hear of it not working for some. Buy them at Advance Auto because they have a year warranty. AutoZone has a six month. They are about $75 each and have long cables so you do not have to use the extenders.
Good luck.

I've had headers on my C5 for about 3 years and have never had a problem with stock sensors. Same situation with numerous cars I've tuned. It might be that the sensor fitting isn't positioned properly or that the sensor or wires have been damaged. If the hardware isn't fixable, or not causing the problem, you'll need to determine whether the sensors aren't switching lean to rich or rich to lean, then adjust voltage as required. Keep in mind that altering the switch point can have an impact on AFR in closed loop. Switching to the Corvette rear sensors may be the best resolution.
I'm using the rear O2 sensors in my LG long tubes and haven't had an issue in over a year since installation.
Have a friend with a 99 Holden Commodore who had alot of trouble with this, I updated his operating system to an 03 and no more problems I beleive The o2 perameters that we can't see in flashscan are different in the later model OS.
Cheers
