Default Need 2006 SSR M6 stock file

I hope that someone can provide a stock M6 file from a 2006 SSR.

    Thanks

    Hello Xman,

Is the LS2/T56 currently in an '06 SSR, or is it from an SSR - being transplanted ?

Goes in a 91 vette. I still need this tune file due to issues with cruise control.

Was hoping it was for a swap. Early LS2 engines (’05 - ’06) were often Gen III variants (24x CKP / 1x CMP). The LS2 wasn’t universally a Gen IV (58x CKP / 4x CMP) until ’07. All ’05 Corvette LS2 engines and all ‘05 - ‘06 GTO LS2 engines were Gen III.

I’m not 100% positive all ’05 - ’06 SSR LS2 engines were Gen III variants - but some definitely were. All of the above used the E40 PCM - not one of my favourites.

I mention this, as I have done previous conversions using the ’05 Corvette LS2, but controlled by an LS1-B PCM. This made integrating PCM controlled A/C and Cruise Control much easier. It also allowed using either DBW or DBC - depending on the vehicle, or customer preference. Also, the LS1-B style PCM is much easier to tune (for me anyway !).

As a quick check - the CKP sensor on Gen III engines is black, on Gen IV engines it is greyish. To be 100% sure, I’d still pull the oil pan and look - as you know the 24x and 58x reluctor rings are very distinctive.

    Just a possible option ……

All Good info, but, this is not my swap. I do a lot of them but this is another shop that I support with tuning. He already built a custom harness for the E40 and yes this is a 24x.

I agree he could have made his life easier with a LS1-B PCM. He did not ask for advice on selection.

I can use HP tuners because there is a stock 2005 M6 SSR file available. I would rather not because I would have to pay for it and I already have the license with my Workshop EFILIVE V2.

I still need the EFIlive SSR M6 2006 tune file to finish the job for his project. Anybody?

    OK … understand fully now.

Sorry, don’t have an ’06 SSR tune - not many sold in Canada - never had one in the shop.

Hopefully someone has one they’ll share.

As a fall back plan, there are ’06 GTO LS2 manual tunes on the Holdencrazy site.
    • two engine tunes from manual trans cars (OS# 12603159 and OS# 12604792)

These should work OK in a swap application - obviously you would have to confirm the E40 pinouts are the same. Given that your customer built the harness, if it came down to it, moving a couple of pins is straight forward.

    Good luck …..
