Thread: Anymore Transient settings available for the 1mb PCMs?

    Edit the *.cax files the same way you would a CALC PID - use Notepad - spaces and characters have significance. Don't change any numeric values. You can change what the LC folder is named, and what subfolder (in the Tune Tool) it will be found within.

    Or leave it as is ... the current folder name is just a little odd.

    I opened the cax files with notepad, it looks like they are only for LC, do I need any of the transients? I have a cax file for a 12212156 OS and it has all those transients tables can they be copied from the 12212156 os cax to another?

    The *.cax files were developed several years ago. I believe most (if not all) of the transients - wall wetting, throttle stomp, etc. have now been incorporated into the V7 software via updates.

    The LC *.cax files I linked are LC only - no transients. You can create your only version of the *.cax files - with additional transients - as long as you are careful - not a "copy & paste" type exercise. See pages 89 to 93 in the Scan Tool manual for a general overview of syntax and format.
