    Default 2010 Terrain 3.0 sidi

I have a 2010 terrain with 3.0 liter. I am wanting to do some minor changes to help low end torque. And keep the transmission from downshifting so much when cruising around 80 or so. This vehicle my wife drives so I don't want any drastic changes but they have put this small engine in a 4000 lb truck. In other words I want to make sure these changes are possible with this program before I purchase. I also have a 2009 silverado with 5.3 I know it will work with it but my main concern is the Terrain.

    Hello redonetoo,

Both the E39 ECM in the Terrain and the E38 ECM in the Silverado are supported with the V2.

Hope you enjoy tuning both …

    Regards,
    Taz

redonetoo, on the engine side of things as Taz said, no problem, the Terrain will be using the E39.
The transmission computer might be another story, there appears to be two TCM's out in GM's 6 speeds at the moment, the T43 (which we support) and the T76 (which we don't support). I am pretty sure the Terrain uses the T76 as it has the 6T45 trans. Just try ordering a T76 from your local Chevy dealer, it's mission impossible.

It has the 6t70 transmission. The transmision is supposed to be able to adapt to the engine. So if I could get more low end torque out of the engine maybe it will cure the problems. I am new to the programming thing. I work on semi-trucks and have programmed many of those ecms. The difference is it is just a simple flash file you flash it to. You are talking about altering the actual programs. This car you have to keep the rpms up just to maintain speed.

Head to our main web page and download the tuning software, there is some sample engine calibrations in the download (not 3.0L SIDI), it will give you some idea what you will be up against as far as a learning curve.
You are right on the 6T70, sorry for some reason I had the 2.4L SIDI in my mind (which has the 6T45).
Your other option is to look around your area for a performance shop that might be able to tune it for you, if you let everyone know what city you are in there might be someone nearby.

What kind of changes can I make? Can I get more torque at lower rpms? Or possibly more power?
