Retrieving Black Box Data
After logging several files to the FlashScan interface, I cannot retreive the data without being connected to the vehicle. When I start Scan Tool the FlasnScan menus are not active unless I am connected to the vehicle.
The logging works great and I can retrieve the data as long as I am connected to the vehicle. Am I doing something wrong or is this the way it is intended to work (does not make sense to log without a laptop and then have to drag out the laptop to get the data).
You should be able to click on "Connect" with just the FlashScn interface connected to your PC (with no vehicle attached).
Once you are connected to the FlashScan cable the appropriate black-box logging menu options and toolbar icons should be enabled.

That was too easy. I never thought to 'connect' when not attached to the vehicle.
