You need to upgrade the firmware on your device to that supplied with the V8 software you installed. Then in the BBX config you need to press the 'Program' button so that the matching script versions are copied down to the device.

Back up for an old thread. I just got this error for the first time. I have V7.5.6 build 139 and V8.1.2 Build 127 with Bootlock 2.07.01 and firmware 2.07.04. What am I missing here?
I did a search and followed the instructions in this thread: http://forum.efilive.com/showthread....10-pre-release
Then received code $0194. Followed the instructions and still nothing.
Okay... I was able to do a Read then Write from the V2 and it worked fine. Go figure
Are you sorted now?
The $050B is due to an mismatch between the script version and firmware on your device. Going into the Scan and Tune tool and 'Program'ing it again will copy down the new script versions to match the current firmware.
The $0194 is typically when you update from a very old firmware to the latest. I don't recall at what point the change was made but the filesystem folder structure changed. Typically formatting the Config and Data filesystems (using EFILive Explorer) and then programming the device will resolve both issues.

Yes, it's all sorted out now. I loaded a tune from my PC to the V2 and flashed it fine.
