Default Chevy/GM engine to return to IndyCar in 2012

Chevy/GM engine to return to IndyCar in 2012

    Interesting news.
I wonder if they will split the winnings with the US taxpayer.

IMO Champcar/CART was the best racing series.
IRL might be better with turbos fueled by ethanol.

WHAT they are not using the amazing Volt ?

Quote from article : Now, Chevy is back, thanks to IndyCar's new era of competition and its own financial rebound from a near calamity; the company reported earnings of $2 billion in the third quarter and is expected to turn a profit next year for the first time since 2004.

How do you turn a $2 billion dollar profit when you owe $56 billion ? Fuzzy Math !
If we did what GM did we would have a terrible credit rating and could not get a loan for a candy bar ; so what is GM's ? 500 .

I wonder how much of that "profit" will go to debt payments.

This is good news for racing fans tho.

They'll never use production ECM's, not enough data logging capability and unless they reduce the RPM limit on Indy car engines to 8192 RPM they might be in trouble with the E38.
I no longer monitor the forum, please either post your question or create a support ticket.

It's not a profit, it's the earnings before expenses are taken out.

Only add up the income and forget about the expenses.
That is the secret to any successful business.............. or government.
