I followed the guide on here to do it but i've got bootblock 2.06.03 and firmware 2.06.41 isn't the newest firmware 2.06.72? I don't see how to upgrade firmware without upgrading bootblock too.

You have to upgrade the bootblock first, then update the firmware. Open EFILive V8 Scan & Tune with you V2 plugged in, then look in the notification area for the little V2 icon to pop up. Click it and the go to the F6: Firmware page. Click Update Boot Block and let it do its thing, your V2 will now be in dead poll (2 amber LEDs flashing). Now click Update Firmware and let it update, your V2 will reboot and you're set. Format your V2 using EFILive Explorer and then upload your latest PID selection using V8 S&T.
