Default First time user, help needed flashing COS

    Hi all,
Im new to EFI live, and am about to flash a new tune which needs a custom operating system.
I had a look at the interactive tutorial "how to load a custom operating system", and followed the steps, but after opening the file, it will not allow me to click on "program PCM operating system and calibrations" in the "flash" menu. This option is Grey and connot be clicked on.
    Am I doing something wrong?

Hi jhinchy, welcome to the forum

Do you have FlashScan V1 or V2...?

If you have FlashScan V1, is it the Personal or Commercial
[ Commercial option was $50, allows full flashing which is required for flashing COS ]

What is COS are you trying to flash...?

I figured it out, turns out it was a simple mistake.
I had opened the tunetool before connecting to the car. I just closed the window, and re-opened the tool, and then it allowed me to flash the OS.
    A real beginners error

You dont have to be connected to the car before opening the tune file for a full flash, just need to make sure the FlashScan is plugged in before opening the tune file. Made that mistake more than a few times!
