    Default Tune required please

    Hi

was wondering is there a car that runs the LS1 411 PCM 512K that uses cable throttle body but also has the fuel gauge run through the computer to the dash... similar to the GTO 2004 model car....

OS 12587604 is a great example but that is for a 1Mb PCM not the 512K

    Hello Doubledip,

The 2001 and 2002 model year GM trucks (Sierra / Silverado) used the 512Kb LS1-B style 12200411 PCM. All pickup trucks were DBC. The 2002 Escalade and select Yukon models were DBW.

The truck fuel gauge in the dash received data from the PCM via a Class-2 serial data communication.

If memory serves, the OEM fuel tank sending units output 40 ohms (full) and 240 ohms (empty).

Camaros of the same years (2001 - 2002) also used the 12200411 PCM - and were also DBC. I’m not sure how the fuel gauge functioned in Camaros - I mainly use truck PCMs and wiring harnesses.

Not sure if that answers your question ……

    Regards,

not having much luck... been through a fair few files now and none have what i need

if you have a look at a GTO tune you will see it has

    Fuel Tank Size
    Fuel Tank Size for Gauge
    Primary Fuel Tank Size
Primary Fuel Tank Size for Gauge

these are the settings i need to make it read on the gauge via Serial data

it only seems to be found in 1Mb OS's the 512k seems to have the other areas filled in with values when using the PCM for fuel level but is missing the 2 "for gauge" fields that i need and so it doesnt seem to work
